Rosendahl Calls for Venice Community Meeting about Homeless Issues

Ever since human waste from a RV was dumped on city streets, documented and virally spread through the web and media, the mobile homeless issue in Venice has gained a lot of attention. Using that inertia City Councilmember Bill Rosendahl is calling for a community meeting next week.
"The session will include a series of presentations on ongoing and new efforts to prevent people from living on the streets or in their vehicles," explained a release from Rosendahl's office. "Those efforts include law enforcement strategies, parking enforcement and the 'Streets to Homes' program."
Rosendahl will moderate the meeting and take questions from the audience. Also in attendance will be the LAPD, City Attorney's Office, LADOT and the L.A. Homeless Services Authority.
The meeting will be at Westminster Elementary School (1010 Abbot Kinney Blvd, Venice, CA 90291-3312) on September 23rd from 7 to 9 p.m.
