Alleged 'Grim Sleeper' Serial Killer Pleads Not Guilty

Accused serial killer Lonnie Franklin, Jr., today pleaded not guilty to murdering 10 women and attempting to kill another in a spree that last over 20 years. The backyard mechanic ,who once worked for the LAPD's garage and as a city sanitation worker, was arrested in July after years of police work.
Detectives connected the murders via DNA, but never could match it to anyone until his son's DNA was was entered into the system this year. Despite frequent run ins with the law, Franklin's DNA was never swabbed.
