$50K Award Announced in Valley Village Murder/Arson Case

Police are looking for the man accused of killing a 34-year-old woman and setting fire to the house last Saturday. Cheree Osmanhodzic's fiance that evening went to the store and returned home to find a man inside. He gave chase, but lost sight of the suspect a few blocks away. When he returned home, the house was on fire. Police believe the suspect killed Osmanhodzic and may have it the place on fire before being chased out.

The suspect is described as a 20-year-old stocky Hispanic male, about 5 feet and 8 inches tall, weighing about 200 pounds. The suspect fled wearing black shorts, a blue shirt and a baseball cap turned backward with the word "northern" in lowercase. Councilmember Paul Krekorian secured a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect.
