Fans Use Markers to Deface Michael Jackson's Mausoleum

No matter how high-profile the deceased, or how devoted the fans, the mausoleum walls at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale are still private property. That didn't stop fans recently from using markers to ink messages of love and admiration outside the final resting place of the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson, according to the Glendale News-Press.

While there will be some expense in materials and labor to remove the markings, ultimately fans may find that they have limited access to where their idol is interred. Although Forest Lawn put in place strict guidelines for visitors last month on the 1-year anniversary of Jackson's death, many fans still poured onto the property, and, at some unknown time, wrote things like "Love you Michael, you are always in my heart" and "Miss you sweet angel" on the walls.

Forest Lawn did not file a police report about the defaced property.
