'Ferris Bueller' Actor in Legal Woes Over Sex Offender Status
Actor Jeffrey Jones, who played the school's dean in the cult classic comedy Ferris Bueller's Day Off faces renewed legal troubles after "failing to update his registration as a sex offender," according to LA Now. Jones has previously faced legal discipline for persuading a 14-year-old boy to twice pose for nude photos the actor took at his Hollywood home in 2003. Consequently, Jones was put on 5 years' probation, sent to counseling, and required to register as a sex offender. When Jones failed to renew his registration within 5 days of his most recent birthday, a warrant was issued for his arrest, and he was taken in on June 23. He has since been released on bail.
