'Ferris Bueller' Actor in Legal Woes Over Sex Offender Status

jeffrey-jones-1986_l.jpg Actor Jeffrey Jones, who played the school's dean in the cult classic comedy Ferris Bueller's Day Off faces renewed legal troubles after "failing to update his registration as a sex offender," according to LA Now. Jones has previously faced legal discipline for persuading a 14-year-old boy to twice pose for nude photos the actor took at his Hollywood home in 2003. Consequently, Jones was put on 5 years' probation, sent to counseling, and required to register as a sex offender. When Jones failed to renew his registration within 5 days of his most recent birthday, a warrant was issued for his arrest, and he was taken in on June 23. He has since been released on bail.
