Here are a few good-time activities you may want to squeeze in today between L.A. Pride festivities.

Fundred Dollar Drawing Party
Here's the scoop with this innovative event: Artist Mel Chin was profoundly affected by post-Katrina New Orleans, and alongside scientists, developed a way to reduce the dangerously high lead contents in the area's soil. Trouble is, the group needs about $300 million or so from the government to enact their plans. From this need, the Fundred Dollar Bill Project has emerged. Participants need simply to color a "fundred" dollar bill and add it to all the others being collected in the hopes that Chin and his pals can collect 3 million of these by this July. At that time they'll present them to Congress as an act of good will and ask for the money. Get involved today at the Santa Monica Museum of Art.

Author Reading at Book Soup
Tonight comedian and author Rich Fulcher presents and signs Tiny Acts of Rebellion: 97 Almost-Legal Ways to Stick It to the Man. Among his recommendations are unlatching your safety belt before the plane has fully stopped, driving through a lonely red light in the dead of night (one without a red light camera let's hope!) and leaving a handful of pennies as a tip for bad service. We're also often tempted to ring up our steaks as bananas at the supermarket self-checkout, but really, that's just stealing. 8 p.m.

Labyrinth
We've sung the praises of the Devil's Night Drive In before, but we couldn't possibly be more excited about tonight's movie. Yes friends, it's David Bowie on the big screen in Labyrinth! The only thing we find kind of funny is that tonight is billed as "family friendly" night. Sorry, but those orange muppets that switch heads scared the bejesus out of us when we were kids.
