Police Chases Leave 2 Dead in Separate Incidents
A police pursuit this morning in San Bernardino County this morning has left one California Highway Patrol officer dead, according to the Associated Press. The chase caused two accidents, one killing the motorcop in a Redlands intersection around 6:30 a.m. Several people have been arrested. Last night, a short two-minute chase in Lake View Terrace, a L.A. neighborhood of the northeast San Fernando Valley, left a 6-year-old girl dead. The LAPD chased a vehicle that turned onto a residential street where it slammed into and pinned the girl against a wall, explained the LA Times. She later died at the hospital. The driver will be booked for murder, said Chief Charlie Beck.
