We're Not Covering Up Any Man Boobs, Says LAPD

Eduardo Ibarra Perez is suspected of killing his wife in Sun Valley back in 1994. Listed on the LAPD's most wanted section of their website, a shirtless booking photo from a previous crime of him blurred out his chest. Last Thursday, Fark.com caught on: "When the LAPD feels compelled to blur out your moobs, it might be time to lose some weight."
Then the Huffington Post weighed in, followed by the Daily Mail.
But the LAPD told the LA Times there were no man boobs to cover up, just the booking photo. "This photo was posted when the department's website was launched back in the late 1990s," said LAPD spokeswoman Mary Grady "At the time, the department was still trying to determine how much information they wanted to make public so it was not unusual for the department to blur booking information."
Playing a strong point, the LAPD hopes the random rumor hopefully helps police bring in Perez. In the meantime, they've changed up the photo on the website, cropping out his chest area.
