Studio City Has Gone to the Wolves

A Studio City couple has just welcomed some new additions to their family: A litter of 7 wolf pups. Already providing sanctuary for three wolves in their yard as part of their licensed urban wildlife classroom, one of the wolves, Alaska, recently gave birth. But the wolves are not pets; even getting close to the pen where the new mother and her pups are resting is a delicate task, explains KTLA in a video. The couple hopes that introducing young people to the animals will help them understand where they come from and raise awareness about the killing of wolves, adding "we want people to start to embrace the fact that they need [wolves] in our own environment." The couple know they aren't your typical Studio City family: "We've just created a pack, like how most people have families."
