Last Night on The Hills: The Manhunt, The Muppet, The McKaela
We took a half hour break from reading the The New Yorker to catch up on The Hills. Here's what we learned.
Scorned by Brody, Kristin and her emotional parrot Stacie decided to meet some new guys at Nikki's because "there are lot of hot guys in Venice." (Ladies? Consensus? Do we agree?) As Stacie said several times, it was a "manhunt," and said manhunt consisted of the two of them sitting at a table and blowing off every guy that approached them. How did this not work??
So Lo extended a possibly misguided helping hand and got Brody's new fling McKaela a job at Smashbox. We're really not sure what Lo's motive was, but she clearly wasn't listening to the "keep the peace" mantra she typically chants because this is going to piss off Kristin big time. She may even hate her. Don't you love when TV and tabloids augment each other?
Meanwhile, Audrina dragged Lo and Stephanie to the Viper Room to check out bands for Epic. She claimed they were there to scope Purple Melon, but it turned out it was all a ruse to squeeze in a show by Ed Stanley, the band for which the dreaded Justin Bobby is the drummer. The sweaty greaser pounded away on stage, Audrina gazed longingly, and Lo, who originally gave him the "Justin Bobby" moniker, dubbed him a muppet. We like her more and more every episode.
Audrina and Justin escaped that night giving up little more than friendly conversation, but whodathunkit, the pair ran into each other at Voyeur the very next night/filming session. "You look beautiful," Justin told her. "Look at me, I'm all grubby." Hey muppet, explain to us how this is different than any day in the last four years.
Brody hit the scene as well and finally apologized(ish) to Kristin for dangling the new girl. Kristin was full of forgiveness, and all it took was a couple of white wine spritzers for her and Brody to leave together.
What's Lo going to tell McKaela at the water cooler on Monday?
