Happy Memorial Day, LA! Here are your event options for today:

VINO
The first City of Angels Wine Fest kicks off at noon today in the Music Center Plaza. It's a fundraiser hosted by the Rotary Club of Los Angeles to benefit the Volunteers of America Los Angeles (VOALA) downtown homeless service center. Wines from more than 30 California wineries will be paired with foods from several Patina Restaurant Group offerings. Tickets are $75 at the door, and the tasting runs until 5 pm.

STORIES
The Moth's Westside edition takes over the Air Conditioned Supper Club tonight. With the theme "Good Intentions," storytellers are asked to prepare a five-minute story about “just trying to help.” (both good and bad). Remember, there are no notes involved in the re-telling of these true stories. Doors at 7 pm and stories start at 7:30 pm. Admission: $7.

MUSIC
UCLA's Jazz Reggae Fest continues today with the reggae part of the bill. Headliners Nas and Damian Marley lead a great lineup on the Intramural Field. Tickets start at $35.

FILM*
It’s time for the Cinefamily’s The Five Minutes Game: Memorial Day Edition tonight at 6 pm at the Silent Movie Theatre. Here’s how it works: They play five minutes of 15 movies that you’ve probably never seen before (and many not available on DVD) and the audience votes on what movie they want screened to watch in its entirety. Bring something to cook on our grill, too. Tickets are $10.

Have fun and be safe out there.
