Bear Wanders into L.A. Neighborhood

We often hear of bears in the foothill neighborhoods of San Gabriel Valley or in Ventura County, but it's not too often we get reports of one within Los Angeles. The Los Angeles Fire Department this morning is reporting a bear, possibly 90 pounds, sitting 15 feet up in a Pine Tree in Porter Ranch.

That's not a big surprise -- the northwest valley community sits at the bottom of the Santa Susana Mountains. Streets in the area are blocked off and Fish & Game has been called in to take care of it.
