The sign, which reads "Don't Let Your Dog or Cat Become an Octomom. Always Spay or Neuter," goes into Suleman's La Habra lawn, for which the single mom of 14 gets paid $5000 and "a month's supply of veggie burgers and hot dogs."
The PETA offer sprang up when news reports indicated Suleman was in danger of losing the home she allegedly purchased herself when she became a media sensation in early 2009 after giving birth to a set of octuplets. The babies, her 7-14th children, were the product of in vitro fertilization, as were all her previous children.
Amer Haddadin, who holds the note on her home, claims she "missed a $450,000 balloon payment due in March and she didn't make the last $4,139 mortgage payment." Suleman, however, denies this, while her lawyer says she accepted PETA's offer in order "to avoid losing her home."
