Signed, Sealed, Delivered: Vote-By-Mail Now Available for June 8 Primary Election
Lindsay William-Ross/LAist
Once only an option for those who were out of town or had a medical reason for being absent on Election Day, vote-by-mail, or absentee voting, there are now 5.8 million registered users of the service in California. Says Bowen:
Voting by mail gives you the flexibility to vote when it is convenient for you. You can cast your vote-by-mail ballot now, or mark it as you make up your mind on an issue or candidate. Just make sure your county elections official receives your ballot by 8:00 p.m. on Election Day so it will be counted.
Voters interested in submitting their June 8 ballot by mail must apply by June 1. The application is available online, however it must be submitted to the County Elections Office. LA County absentee voting info is here.
