'Hands-On' County Health Inspector Charged with Sexual Battery
A 50-year-old Los Angeles County Department of Health inspector has been charged with one misdemeanor count of sexual battery against the female owner of a Pomona donut shop. Magdy Tawadros allegedly groped the business owner in the back room of her shop during a routine health inspection visit on March 24th; the woman claims he "used his position to intimidate her and tried repeatedly to hug her" during the encounter, which was captured on video. If convicted, the defendant could be sentenced to a maximum six-month jail term and fined $2,000.
