Fatal Corvette Crash Leaves 4 Dead in North Hills

Four people were killed in a late-night car accident that left body parts and debris strewn along several blocks of Roscoe Boulevard in North Hills, reports KTLA.

The accident appears to have involved only one vehicle, a yellow 2007 Corvette, that was speeding and struck a guardrail, sending the car and its occupants skidding about 200 feet, then bouncing over railroad tracks and landing upside down.

After responding to the scene, the LAFD reported at 12:25 a.m. "Remains of four persons have been discovered at scene," which were later determined to be that of two males and two females. Notes Los Angeles Fire Capt. Steve Ruda: "The debris field is from Balboa to about 250 yards west of Hayvenhurst and along the railroad tracks." One victim had been pinned in the car; the location of the three others during the accident is not known.
