If you were looking to find one of the best farmers' markets in the nation, luckily you don't have to look further than right here in Los Angeles County, says Travel & Leisure.

A list released this month names the Santa Monica Farmers' Market as one of America's best, citing the Wednesday installation of the weekly market for its star chef clientele and broad range of beautiful local and organically-grown produce and ingredients.

Their most unusual find amid the many, many stalls: "Smoked tomatoes and peppers—which look like sun-dried but have a rich, almost meaty flavor—from Windrose Farms, in Paso Robles."

Other markets on the list include San Francisco's Ferry Plaza, New York's Union Square Greenmarket, Chicago's Green City Market, and Seattle's University District Farmers' Market, among others.
