TV Junkie: 'Damages' Season Finale; 'SNL' Griping

Somebody please confirm for us that they also thought the Ryan Phillippe/Ke$ha edition of "Saturday Night Live" was a bit of a chore to watch. Certainly, the Shake Weight DVD commercial was very funny (see embed at end of post), but the rest, other than some moments during Weekend Update, felt somewhat lacking. What did Phillippe contribute other than a pretty face - and doesn't Ke$ha's "Your Love Is My Drug" sound more than a little derivative of "Tik Tok"? These bad choices weren't made up for by any sketch that was particularly remarkable. We're fans of the show so we know that things will come together for the Betty White-hosted May 8th episode, if not before then. You win some, you lose some. Tonight: The big highlight is the "Damages" season finale (FX at 10pm). The big talk is about how convoluted "Lost" is, but that's a show that relies on metaphysics to pull off its whoppers - "Damages" has yielded multiple surprises per episode this season while staying in the same dimension. We hope this means a season 4.
