So Long, Speidi: MTV Cancels Faux-Reality Show 'The Hills'

Pick your response: a) "OH THANK GOD!" b) "That thing is still on?" c) "OMFG Nooooo!" to the news that MTV is finally bidding adieu to their faux-reality series The Hills.

Spawned from the mind-expanding quality programming of Laguna Beach, the series made household (and gossip rag) names of trendy poseurs like Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag (LAist Interview), Audrina Patridge, Lauren Conrad and Lo Bosworth (LAist Interview).

Mocked for its heavy-handed production and loose scripting, the show has had 6 "seasons," the last of which debuts in late April.

Say what you will about the content, the show sure did make the scenery of Los Angeles look pretty damn beautiful--but who of us lives in "that" L.A.?
