The Getty Museum fires up its free music-spoken word-dance-etc. series on a new night: Saturday Nights at the Getty. (We guess that spending Fridays near the 405 wasn't a great marketing hook for traffic-plagued Angelenos.)

But the eclectic season kicks off on Saturday night with a performance by musician, producer and Beastie Boys collaborator Money Mark and violinist-singer Emily Wells, whose love of rap music and Vivaldi influenced her own distinct musical stylings.

The season also includes performances by the Living Sisters--the LA singer-songwriter supergroup with Inara George, Becky Stark and Eleni Mandell--on March 13; Rana Santacruz on March 27, and Micachu and the Shapes on April 17.

All concerts begin at 7:30 pm and take place in the Harold M. Williams Auditorium at the Getty. Admission is free, but reservations are required. (For reservations call 310-440-7300 or visit www.getty.edu.) Parking is free after 5:00 pm.
