Hochman, known for his unique photo constructions, describes the surrealistic images in his work.

In dreams, all the secrets are revealed, truths are unveiled, not just the things which we mask in order to present ourselves as functioning, moral human beings amongst each other, but the building blocks which shape our character and desires. We gather these components of dreams from each other. It is a collaboration of human interaction. Our dreams are our collective voices, the voice of the universe.
Hochbaum's dream like imagery will be on view until March 3. The opening reception for "You Are Not Falling, You Are Floating" by David Hochbaum on Saturday, February 13 from 7 to 10pm. The Corey Helford Gallery located at 8522 Washington Boulevard in Culver City. (There is a new interview with Hochbaum on Daily du Jour.)
