Sweets For Your Sweet: Valentine's Cupcakes @ Crumbs

The popular cupcakery with five area locations has come up with six flavors just for Valentine's Day, and we were able to sample all of them this week. In cheerful pinks, reds, whites, and the always-delightful chocolate brown, this set of cupcakes is a must-try for cupcake devotees or as an introduction to the always-awesome quality and taste of Crumbs.
Our favorites of the six are the Hugs and Kisses (Vanilla cake filled with raspberry preserves topped with pink vanilla cream cheese frosting edged in hearts and sprinkles) and the Sweetheart (Vanilla Cake with chocolate fudge filling topped with chocolate cream cheese frosting edged in heart quins and sprinkles) with the cuteness appeal of the Pink Squiggle (Chocolate cake with pink frosting filling and a Hostess-esque pink squiggle on top of the flat chocolate top) rounding out the list.
But we love Crumbs, so it's hard to go wrong if you pick up the other flavors: Chocolate Covered Strawberry, Valentine Good Guy (Vanilla cake with sprinkles mixed in, vanilla cream cheese frosting filling and on top with more sprinkles), and Valentine Sprinkle (chocolate cake with vanilla cream cheese frosting edged in Valentine sprinkles). Can't decide? Well, gee...six cupcakes sure do pack up and present nicely... Each cupcake is $3.75 and comes in their signature size (which equals big) and a six-pack is $27; taste packs of 12 minis are also available for $24.
