A pursuit that began in Burbank via car ended up inside The Americana at Brand mall and residences where the suspect hid in the parking structure until apprehended by police. The crime for which three suspects were sought was a liquor store robbery that took place in Burbank late this morning, according to LA Now. Live news reports this morning indicated at least two of the suspects were being pursued by authorities in a chase that took place partially on the 134 Freeway and became a foot pursuit when the vehicle crashed at the driveway of the upscale Americana development in Glendale.

News video showed a male suspect being struck by a police car while fleeing on foot, then rising, removing his black sweatshirt, then continuing to run into the mall.

A female suspect, who was driving, was apprehended right away, however the male suspect remained hidden in a parking structure for about two hours and the mall was in lockdown. Glendale police eventually took the man into custody and turned him over to authorities in Burbank.
