Do you love the idea of camping, but not necessarily the alone in the dark, sleeping on pebbles, Daddy Longlegs-infested part? In swoops this morning glory to save the day. This gathering, brought to you by lamountains.com, welcomes anyone, anytime between 10 - 11:30 a.m. to have some genuine cowboy coffee (not sure what that is, but we want some), hot chocolate, and good conversation around a fire while you laze away the morning in the Santa Monica Mountains. A chair or blanket is recommended, but no tent required.

In order to find out, we're grabbing the nearest niece or nephew and checking out today's kid-friendly event at the Grammy Museum, featuring performances by the 2009 Grammy nominees in the Children's music and spoken word categories. Go Ask Alice is a heavily female-influenced show featuring pieces inspired by the rabbit-chaser herself as well as music provided by The Studiofix, The Great Entity and DJ Taffy Davenport. $3 cover, which benefits the Haiti relief effort.
