Windshield Advertising: Free Speech or Legalized Litter?
USC Broadcast Journalism student Matt Schrader, who brought us an expose on street sweeping parking tickets when the streets were not being swept, is at it again, this time working the streets to find the final word on advertisements placed on your car. With all the talk of digital billboards, supergraphics, mobile billboards and a slew of other types of signage around Los Angeles, it only makes sense to look into this issue. Interestingly enough, he finds that a 9th Circuit Court of Appeals decision says it is, in fact, legal.
