The 16th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards - Video Interviews

We might not have had the 'best spot' (does such a thing exist?) on the carpet but we took advantage of the privilege of being there to talk to cast members from the best shows on television in the video above:

In the press room we asked Kevin Bacon, winner of the 2010 SAG award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Movie or Miniseries, what got him through his most difficult moments in an admittedly up and down career. He said, "When I was at my absolute lowest, when my last work wasn't something I respected and there was no opportunity or offers to work ahead of me, I realized that when I got up in the morning, that acting was still the only thing I really wanted to do with my life - that's what made me keep going."

When asked about how the part of Leigh Ann Tuohy in the film Blind Side, came to her, Sandra Bullock, winner of the 2010 SAG award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role, told us that "I had taken two years off from acting and just enjoyed life. I learned how to say 'no' to work and I said the word 'no' a lot. I only wanted to work on a film and a role that I knew I would enjoy more than what I found outside of work - the film had to have meaning and the part had to move me. Obviously this beautiful story and character were exactly what I wanted to do."
