Orson Welles Double Bill @ Aero
The American Cinematheque is taking a look at the life and work of Orson Welles. Today at the Aero Theatre is a double feature of two of his performances from the mid-1940s. First up at 7:30 p.m. is Jane Eyre (1944) in which Welles plays the bright and charismatic Edward Rochester to Joan Fontaine's titular governess. (As an aside, Fontaine is still living--she's 92!--as is her estranged 93-year-old actress sister Olivia de Haviland.) Next is Tomorrow is Forever (1946) co-starring Claudette Colbert.

Orson Welles Double Bill @ Aero - awesome. Nice sidebar on Oliva de Havilland and her sister. Last week attended screening of a new 2009 documentary "I Remember Better When I Paint" at the Bel Air Film Festival. What a treat to discover that Olivia de Havilland is the narrator of the film. 93 yrs old and still sounding like an Academy Award winner!
