Conservative Former CEO of Hewlett-Packard to Run for Senate

carly-fiorina.jpeg We've got a former eBay CEO and conservative Meg Whitman running for Governor and today we find that another tech CEO from the right is making the move for public office. Former Hewlett-Packard Chief Executive Carly Fiorina will announce this morning her run for the Senate, according to the LA Times. She will face Assemblyman Chuck DeVore (R-Irvine) in the Republican primary. The winner of that will face incumbent Democratic Sen. Barbara Boxer in next year's November election. If Boxer wins, it will be her fourth term.

I look forward to Ms. Fiorina's primary campaign and hope it's as successful as her time at HP and as John McCain's economic advisor. Good luck, Carly! You're gonna need it (and some pictures of DeVore having sex with a zombie hooker) to win.

a terrible CEOs to become a terrible senator? Throw some jokes in there and you could have a movie. But seriously people, dont vote for her. She nearly destroyed HP (and loves shipping our tech jobs overseas) so she clearly hates California.

DeVore doesn't stand a chance against Boxer.

fiorna may not be ideal but she has a better chance.

One, she can raise money. Two, she has real world experience. Three, she's a woman and Boxer won't be her typical bitch self.

Boxer is not Feinstein. I don't think Boxer has ever won a Senate election by more than 8 points, but I could be wrong. Her unfavorables are always high too.

A KABC/KFSN/KGTV/KPIX Sept. poll has her job approval at 41%. With only a 42% approval with Indpendent voters.

Asked what she thought about regulation of the web, she said it was inevitable that there would be more regulation of it. Why, for instance, is there no protection of women and children on the Internet, when there is plenty in real life. She said this duality — where anything goes on the wild wild west of the Internet — would have to end.

NEXT!

I plan to support Chuck DeVore.

There's a guy over in Oakland, I think his name is Van Jones. And he and I were on a cruise last summer in the Arctic, on climate change. And I got to know him very well. And a lot of the work he's doing to enfranchise broader communities I'm a big fan of. He's doing a marvelous job... I'm a huge fan of his. He is very bright, very articulate, very passionate. I think he is exactly right.

NEXT!

I plan to support Steve Poizner.

All Whitman has to do is point out she was CEO of a company that created jobs in the US while Fiorina was CEO of a company that took US jobs overseas.

Carly got shit canned at HP because she is a complete idiot. Compaq would have died on its own and was not competing with HP. She was reaching for straws kinda like she is now. She is simply playing "monkey see, monkey do" with Meg Witman.

That being said. I would love to nail Carly. She just looks so bitchy and constantly upset that nookie is probably tight as a drum. I would probably take a gallon of lube just to get spread her knees but I would love trying.

I might just vote for her just to get an incumbent out of office. Six terms is way too long to be in a Senate seat IMHO.
