Now More Taxes are being taken out of Your Paycheck

On Halloween, some new tax rules began that will affect your next paycheck and so on. You'll see an additional 10 percent in state income taxes taken out, but not to fear, says the Sacramento Bee. Basically, the state is front-loading the coffers. An excerpt from their in-depth analysis to clarify:

Simply put, if you owe taxes when April 15 comes along, the balance due will be less based on what was withheld from your paycheck in the last two months of the year. If you're due a refund, you can expect a little more.

Taxpayers can evade the accelerated withholding schedules simply by increasing the number of allowances on the withholding forms filed with their employers.

So there you have it.

So basically, the state with the 10th largest economy in the world will be treating our paychecks like an interest-free bank loan.

Wonderful.

You liberals love to laugh at us "teabaggers" but this is exactly the kind of shit we've been talking about.

But no matter...come next fall some of these same pricks will get reelected and you'll all still be bitching about closed parks, high taxes and our crumbling infrastructure.

Though nothing would please me more than to be proven wrong.

totally agree with you about the interest-free bank loan but then your "teabaggers" just turns me off. Using that argument for any tax related issue is just so lame.

I don't see anything wrong with California citizens giving the state an interest free loan to help balance the budget, and help keep social programs funded. That's what they did with our entire state tax return for two months last year and it didn't kill us.

I could think of worse ways to balance the budget.

Like keeping it all?

I'm sure you realize we have a Republican governor, and that the major proponents of Prop 13, which contributes to our budget disasters were Republican?

Please do some fact checks before you blame everything on us liberals.

And if you think the "teabaggers" were really a grass roots movement, you are sadly mistaken and in need of some further fact checking.

Oh, wait, you're too busy idolizing Rush and Hannity and Beck.

That looks like a teabagger in that pic!
