Get Out: Haunted Scavenger Hunt, Canines in Costumes, Panty Party, Late Night with the Living Dead, Spooky Screenings

3rd Annual Haunted Hollywood Scavenger Hunt
Per this event's host, Out of the Box, Los Angeles is the 7th most haunted city in the country. How does one measure this, do you think? Highest incidence of apparition sightings? Most vampire paraphernalia? Highest population of creepy people? We have no idea, but you can discover all there is to know about haunted Hollywood as you run between various hotels, theaters and secret locations on this hair-raising hunt. No EMF meters required, but a flashlight is recommended. Call 323.799.1374 to register.

Bow-Wow-Ween
Squeeze your unruly pup into that adorable devil costume and head to Topanga today where Much Love Animal Rescue throws it's 6th Annual Bow-Wow-Ween event, featuring merchant booths, food vendors, activities and games for the whole family, as well as pet adoption opportunities. Buy tickets in advance here.

Trashy Lingerie's Annual Halloween Ball
Since dressing slutty on Halloween is pretty much par for the course these days, we count on Trashy Lingerie in West Hollywood to up the floozy ante and throw a bash in which costumes are obsolete and half-nakedness is encouraged. Get loosey-goosey with 100+ underwear models dancing to performances by Darling Stilettos and many others. Purchase tickets here.

The Late Great Show
The ghosts of Lizzie Borden, as channeled by Laura Kightlinger, and sidekick Dead McMahon host an evening of talk and variety with Hollywood's latest and greatest passed-on personalities. Fake Gallery players Mary Lynn Rajskub, Laura Krafft Frank Conniff, Jeremy Kramer, Rick Overton, Hugh Moore, Dino Shorte, Mike Timpson and Paul Kozlowski will resurrect the likes of Jim Henson, Katherine Hepburn and Ernest Hemingway. $10 at the door.

Our Picks for Halloween Movie Night
There are about a grillion horror flicks being screened tonight, but if you want our two cents, here are the ones we choose. First, the Dusk-to-Dawn Horrorthon at the Aero Theatre's Santa Monica location. We recommend this for three reasons, 1) the first movie, The People Under the Stairs, our favorite middle school slumber party staple featuring My So-Called Life's A.J. Langer, 2) you get a total of six movies for $18-$20 and 3) free snacks all night! Woot! If this isn't doing it for you, we're also pretty psyched about tonight's screening of The Making of "Thriller" at the Paley Center as well. Consider it the ultimate This Is It prequel. 4 p.m., free.
