Ethier Most Clutch
MLB announced today that Dodgers outfielder Andre Ethier was named 2009 MLB Clutch Performer of the Year. The award voted on by fans recognizes the player who performed the best when the game was on the line.
Ethier led the Majors with six walk-off hits and tied a Major League record with four walk-off homers tying with Jimmie Foxx in 1940 and Roy Sievers in 1957.
Ethier beat out Milwaukee Brewers Prince Fielder, San Francisco Giants Tim Lincecum, Minnesota Twins Joe Mauer, St. Louis Cardinals Albert Pujols and New York Yankees Mariano Rivera.
No word yet if Jamie or Frank will claim him.
