"30 Rock" has a Halloween theme tonight at 9:30pm on NBC
However, the show is very popular, with viewership rivaling "Glee", "New Adventures of Old Christine", and several other comedies. The ratings are sure to go up with upcoming visits from the likes of Lisa Kudrow and other guest stars. We like Courteney Cox a lot and are happy to see her doing comedy again but think it should be in a better-written show. At least the ABC comedy we really like, "Modern Family", is outperforming "Cougar Town". What do you think?

UPDATE: NBC has cancelled "Trauma". Oh well, no more streets of San Francisco on TV.

Syfy is creating an Americanised version of BBC's "Being Human" to your screens with a targeted launch of Summer 2010 - as if we needed more vampires, werewolves, and ghosts on American television. Ministry was right, every day is Halloween.

Speaking of the dead walking the earth, "Scrubs" returns to TV on December 1st, but this time on ABC, and not in a hospital, and with a mostly new cast. "Scrubs" fans not in the know will be waaay confused.

A new Behind-the-Scenes vid from "The Office":

The pilot was really funny and was a surprisingly fun twist to the cougar concept (other shows seemed to take it a bit too seriously). But you're right, it's playing too much on stereotypes and that was in the 10 minutes I saw before turning it off last night!
Busy Phillips is funny enough to get her character off the page and make it three-dimensional; I've really enjoyed her on there. I want to like Courtney Cox, but she's trying too hard and comes across as shrill.
Thanks for reading you guys!
hennypenny, I'll agree with you there on Busy Phillips. It looks like ABC will have a long time to fix this as they've already ordered another full season of the show. Do you think they'll do anything to rejigger the show? Probably not, so what we see now is what we'll be getting for about another year.
Can't make a silk purse out of a sow's b utt. Cancelled!
This show is freakin' hilarious!!! Love the quick wit and dry humor. Love that the show flips the traditional role of men having casual sex left and right on its ear - now it's the womens' turn! Love that the girls speak openly and honestly with each other about their sexual exploits. And the supporting characters are just as funny (poor kid caught in the middle; neighbors; etc.)! Maybe you have to be a 40-something year old woman to get the humor?? I dunno but one of the best shows I've seen in awhile!
Monster2 - thanks very much for your comment. I don't have a problem with the subject matter, I just think it would be great to have a _good_ show! Is "Cougar Town" better than "Two and a Half Men", heck yeah, hands down. My biggest problems are with the writing, some of the delivery, and some of the lame stereotypes. I don't think you have to be a 40+ year old female to get it.
Thank you for reading.
