The Silver Lake Art Crawl is Back

The monthly art walks in downtown bring out the large crowds, but that's not to say there are not a concentration of galleries elsewhere. Hence the return of the Silver Lake Art Crawl, now in its second year.

The weekend of November 7th will host two days (Sat/Sun) of open doors at nearly 30 galleries in Silver Lake, Echo Park, Los Feliz and Atwater Village. Additionally, a number of events will take place on the 6th.

"The eclectic flavor of Silver Lake community and its surrounding neighborhoods deserves an outlet where it can be seen and appreciated," event producers say on their Facebook page. "Our mission this year is to emphasize the rich, diverse art produced and displayed here through gallery exhibitions, special events, and other projects during SLAC 2009."

Most of the venues are on Sunset Boulevard, making this crawl a good contender for bicycling gallery to gallery.
