Three Apples: An Exhibition Celebrating 35 Years Hello Kitty is in full swing. For three weeks, Royal/T will be filled floor to ceiling with Sanrio's favorite cat. Though the Hello Kitty stores in Little Tokyo and Hollywood Highland have plenty of cute things, fans are flocking to Royal/T to be part of the feline festivities.

On view at Royal/T, more that 60 artists created Hello Kitty themed work for first official anniversary celebration outside of Japan. LAist talked to Buff Monster about his super kawaii pieces and learned that Luke Chueh appreciates HK's minimalism.

At the opening night reception last Thursday night, many of the artists, several costumed revelers, and a packed crowd filled Royal/T. We spotted Dave Navarro, Paris Hilton, Pete Wentz, Gerard Way, Miranda Cosgrove, Kimora Lee, Simone Lego, Lenora Claire, Audrey Kitching, Tarina Tarantino, Kit Scarbo, and Ludo Lefebvre. The next day we headed back for the high tea to find the gallery and store filled with families and more costumed fans.
