Since Brent's Deli (of Northridge fame) opened in Westlake Village, the place has been packed. Well, it looks like developer Rick Caruso (of The Grove, The Americana fame) noticed this as well, and his center at the same off-ramp with Bristol Farms as anchor tenant is about to get a Nate & Al's from Beverly Hills, complete with the Mendelsohns. Let the Deli wars begin!

having grown up in Westlake, I can say that Brent's has become a sensation in that location. Caruso, of course, has built the Westlake Promenade, which besides Brent's, is the only other Westlake landmark of note.
I am willing to steal the marble rye reserves of either place. I am a deli assassin for hire.
Actually, the new Nate 'N Al's is going in at The Lakes (in Thousand Oaks), which is a few exits away from Brent's (in Westlake Village). Nate 'N Al's is actually going into a former sushi restaurant that will be "rehabilitated" by Gordon Ramsey this season on Kitchen Nightmares . . guess he didn't do too well!
Spent years at Nat and Al's in the 50's and 60's. It is not the same place. Different owners. Lost the quality. They won't touch Brents in Westlake. Will be too pricey, poor parking, and bad location.
