DVD Tuesday, er, Wednesday (Take 2 -- Sorry!)

[ed. note: so, yeah, my new job has been keeping me incredibly busy so the DVD Tuesday column has slipped to Wednesday for a second consecutive week. I apologize to my one, true fan who logs in every Tuesday at two o'clock to read my blurbs. I know I have at least one fan because -- yes -- he writes to me and tells me how funny he thinks I am. I love him. He is incredibly smart.]

Great to see Stephen Frears and Michelle Pfeiffer together again. Dangerous Liaisons was just about a perfect film, and Cheri is damn fine, too. Why did they make a Wrong Turn 3 when Wrong Turn 2 answered all of the questions posed by the original Wrong Turn? Oh, yeah. Smoking hot naked chicks. It's a very special week at the DVD store. The worst movie of the year -- maybe ever -- is now available. Yay!

I'm not saying that Garry Shandling is the most influential force in TV comedy since Jackie Gleason, but I am saying that it's not a completely absurd idea. It's Garry Shandling's Show isn't as brilliant as The Larry Sanders Show, but it's a 100% buy in my book. Damn, I miss Garry Shandling! Let's get some new Garry Shandling, Garry Shandling! How is that Amazing Race wins the Emmy every year when Top Chef is on the air? And do you think the Top Chef, uh, chefs gather around the TV to laugh at the poor boobs on Hell's Kitchen?
