Is Menchies going to overtake Pinkberry in Los Angeles? It was not that long ago when it was a franchise of one in Valley Village. Now they're opening it's 19th location in Chatsworth, which is the 11th for the L.A. area (and there are plans to open five more from Granada Hills to Beverly Hills to Santa Monica).
In celebration, the self-serve yogurt shop will be giving away free yumminess (up to 12 ounces) to the first 50 customers on Friday and Saturday between 2 and 6 p.m. And even if you don't get it for free, LAist has marked Menchies as one our Recession Obsessions.




As expensive as this stuff is you'd think it could cure something or least provide a "full" release or at the very least to a little laundry.
Ralphs has some ice creams that taste very similar to Pink Berry at 1/10th the cost.
