Gavin Newsom Grabs A Few West Hollywood Endorsements

The ever-so aggressive gubernatorial campaign for San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom announced this morning a slew of small local endorsements from around the state. Other than State Senator Alex Padilla in The Valley, no major Los Angeles politicians currently working are on the list. But Newsom did gather up three West Hollywood notables, including John Heilman, Mayor Pro Tempore, Councilmember Lindsey Horvath and Robert Kalonian, President of the West Hollywood Democratic Club. Former State Senator Sheila Kuehl also has endorsed him.

After yesterday's Field Poll announcement, Joe Garofoli at the San Francisco Chronicle humorously pointed something out. Newsom last month said "Mark my words, these polls are going to change dramatically," in reference to earlier numbers. And he was right because the difference between then and now is that Newsom is now twice as far behind potential contender and Attorney General Jerry Brown.

He has my West Hollywood endorsement! (for reasons other than political) ;)

Sheila Kuehl is as corrupt as they come. In Sacramento she is well known as a pawn of powerful corporate interests. She feigns compassionate identification with the masses. But she knows how to sell out better than the best--how else do you become a leader in California's graft-ridden state legislature?
