A perimeter has been set up in Sherman Oaks as police search for a robbery suspect currently at-large. At some point this morning, officers observed wanted robbery suspects in the parking of lot of Rite-Aid at Riverside and Fulton. One was taken into custody, but another ran, according to police.

The perimeter, which encloses a neighborhood, shopping center and two schools (Notre Dame High School included), is apparently bounded by Riverside to the south, Woodman to the west, Magnolia to the north and Fulton to the east.

[Update: The search has concluded, more details are here]

Man, I love this site sometimes. I had no idea why there was a helicopter just hovering overhead towards Fulton, but I figured if I came to LAist you guys would have it. And you did.

Thanks, kdd399! We try out best, can't get them all, but when I do, I'll put the info up!

Thank you for posting this. No new stations are reporting on it. It took me 45 min to get around this mess, the police where of no help in directing traffic around it.

Zach,
Thanks for the coverage! I tried searching Twitter for what happened at this intersection since my carpool got stuck at Woodman & Riverside this morning. I realize now I should check LAist first!
