We always forget so quickly, but yeah, it's that time again when Mayors bet beloved city treasures when their sports teams hit the playoffs or finals. In this day and age, the bets happen on Twitter.

For tonight's first Dodgers playoff game against the Cardinals, Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa has offered the following to St. Louis' Mayor Francis Slay:

  • Dodger Stadium garlic fries
  • El Tepeyac's Manuel burrito
  • The LA Times
  • "a case of Bud"

Slay responded with some weak concessions.

Back in May, El Tepeyac's burritos were among the favorites of readers during a little Los Angeles vs. San Francisco best burrito war.

forgive my sparse knowledge of Midwestern culture, but what ze heck is a "t-rav" and "t-bear"?

bl00p. T-Rav = Tosted Ravioli.. eehhhh

I'm surprised the Mayor knows we're in the playoffs. It's shocking how little Dodger support there is here in Los Angeles. LET'S GO DODGERS!
