TROOP BEVERLY HILLS
If you’re a fan of the Shelly Long comedy Troop Beverly Hills, then you need to be at the TBH: The Experience tonight at 8 pm at Cinespace. It's a way to experience the 20-year-old film Troop Beverly Hills as a sing-a-long, dance-a-long and quote-a-long. The event will feature an introduction from director Jeff Kanew and some special guests while raising money for the Los Angeles-based nonprofit WriteGirl, which helps high school girls work on creative writing and empowerment through self-expression. Tickets are $15.

FILM*
Bring your Kleenex to the Silent Movie Theatre tonight while Dublab presents "Give Up": An Evening of Sad Films with Heart-Shattering Scores. The music collective celebrates 10 years...with tears---watching depressing images flicker as Dublab DJs and special guests create depressing soundtracks live to the visions on screen. Don’t worry, if it all gets to be too much, step out onto the patio for a beer or ice cream served up by Scoops! Tickets are $13.

TRANSPORTATION
Representatives from Metro, the city and county are conducting four scoping meetings to consider constructing a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project on Wilshire Boulevard. These meetings provide the public the opportunity to comment on the project. Tonight’s meeting takes place at the Felicia Mahood Senior Center from 6-8 pm. For more information or to find the location of the other meetings, please visit: metro.net/Wilshire.

FILM!
REDCAT presents the West Coast premiere of Ulrike Ottinger’s documentary The Korean Wedding Chest. The filmmaker explores Korean wedding chests and finds herself in an “enchanted maze of a modern Asian metropolis flush with mythological heroes, traditional rites, ancestral symbolism, dreams of eternal love, and a whole lot of Western kitsch.” The screening begins at 8:30 pm. Tickets are $9.
