Photos: 'Wild Times' at the Sound of Music Sing-A-Long Parade

The most happening family-fun party at the Hollywood Bowl every year is the Sound of Music Sing-A-Along. If you've never been, it probably sounds a bit tame, but when you've got over 17,000 people singing do-re-me, waving cellphones during Edelweiss, popping those firework-like poppers during Maria's first kiss, hissing and booing at the Baroness and Nazis (complimented by laser pointers making red eyes), among other home-made sound effects, it's a time not to forget (don't forget the wine and cheese, it makes it all that much better).

The event is a costume party of sorts with many that arrive clad in movie inspired outfits (traditional, creative, drag queen, etc) to participate in a hilarious costume parade and contest on stage with comedic host, actor Melissa Peterman, accompanied by Charmian Carr, who we all know as Liesl, the oldest child of Captain Von Trapp (the oh so sexy, Christopher Plummer).

The event sells out every year, and relatively quickly so be sure not to miss it when tickets go on sale next year.

It was awesome, I'm definitely going back next year with costume-clad parentals and siblings.
