Football & Food's 4-H Club: Happy Hour at Henry's Hat

Food and drink can definitely make football more fun (or for those who prefer their pig skin on the plate and not in a pass, palatable). Henry's Hat (Twitter), the recently opened eatery that sits conveniently in the Cahuenga Pass (you know--between "here" and "there" for those who travel either way over the proverbial hill) has some great Happy Hour offerings, with some extra fun in place for Monday Night Football.

Their Happy Hour menu, available weekdays from 5-7 p.m., has good deals on a box of Spiced Popcorn ($2), mini Mac 'n Cheese ($5), a big-enough-to-share Margherita Pizza ($7) and discounted specialty cocktails like mojitios, Mai Tais, and kickin' tequila drinks ($6) and beer and wine ($4 and $6). The Mai Tai packs a rum-intense tackle, while the Strawberry-Basil Mojito is a smooth sailing touchdown.

For Monday Night Football you can score on these snack and drink deals, as well as check out comedy in the den area during halftime. Tonight they've got two new appetizers on the menu: "Heirloom Tomato Panzanella Salad and also, Fried Mozzarella Cheese Curds with two sauces." If you're not a football fan, the room does get a little noisy with cheers and boos following the plays on the game, shown on several TVs throughout the restaurant. If you hit up Henry's Hat for dinner or Happy Hour another night, they've got a great den area with a Wii set up, so you can play the sports instead of watching them.
