After a controversy over bicycle lanes that were going to be striped, then not, then were, the Bureau of Street Services has confirmed the new lanes will be striped in October, the Los Angeles County Bicycle Coalition reports in a newsletter today.

Reseda Boulevard will be repaved and striped between San Fernando-Mission to Chatsworth on the weekend of September 19-20. Chatsworth to Devonshire will take place on the weekend of October 3-4. The total distance of the bike lane is one-mile.

The Coalition also said that the Department of Transportation is finalizing plans for the bicycle lane to be extended about 1.5 miles southward to Nordhoff.
