Lunch Meeting: NomNomTruck at Compartes Chocolatier Tomorrow

Okay, so at lunchtime one of the city's ever-growing fleet of mobile eateries may park outside your workplace, but for many of us we don't emerge from studio lot bungalows or Wilshire Blvd. high-rises midday--we have to go to where the lunch is. And while some of the trucks offer up sweet treats, they aren't always parked behind the main course. Tomorrow from Noon to 2, however, you can get your NomNom on right where some of the city's best chocolates come from.

The NomNomTruck [menu], which specializes in Banh Mi (Vietnamese sandwiches) will be at Compartes Chocolatier in Brentwood for a lunchtime gig, which means you can chill on their patio and enjoy your lunch, then follow it up with some Compartes chocolatey goodness: "chocolates + ice creams + coffee + iced coffee and fresh chocolate dipped fruit goodies to go with the awesome sandwiches," they tell us. Hmm, NomNom meets yum, yum?!

But if you can't make it tomorrow, set your DVR for the Food Network on Friday night to see Compartes on the tiny screen. It wasn't enough that their amazing handmade artisan chocolates got name-dropped big time by the Big O herself--now they're featured in this week's episode of the Food-venture show Chef Vs. City along with some of their amazing flavors (Japanese Sancho Pepper, Cactus Blossom, Rosemary, Cayenne Pepper, Guinness, Caramelized Pineapple...Hello: Delish!).
