After opening a second location in Hollywood last year, Loteria Grill is readying a new one in Studio City, according to a land use committee agenda (.pdf) with the Studio City Neighborhood Council. This Wednesday, the group will discuss and possibly make a motion in regards to the restaurant's application for a full line alcoholic beverage license. Loteria, which has a space on the corner of Laurel Canyon and Ventura Blvd., is also planning to obtain a permit to allow for live entertainment between 11 a.m. and 2 a.m.
Additionally, committee members will discuss Chipotle, which plans on opening a location somewhere in the neighborhood.

Loteria=YAY!
Chipotle=BOOOO! (It's owned by McDonald's. Can we learn to eat burritos at local, authentic, small businesses, please?)
None of it's shares are owned by McDonald's anymore, and Chipotle (like pretty much all businesses), did start off as a independent little burrito shop (in Colorado, I think). However, they do admit that they wouldn't be anywhere near as big as they are now without help from McDonalds.
Micky D's is apparently now going to only buy cage-free eggs, though, so maybe Chipotle rubbed off on them somewhat.
I love Loteria, but at least Chipotle doesn't score low B's on the health department inspection for having 2 major health code violations.
