Ah yes, the annual celebration of the White reconquest of the Silver Lake and Echo Park area.

Hmm, see lots of hipsters in the photos, but where are the local families???

Well, that's gentrification for yah. I remember my first time attending Sunset Junction five years back, and there were more men in ass-less chaps and local families and less hipsters. This made SJ more of an eclectic combination representing the demographic that in lived in the surrounding areas. Now the scales have tipped and it is a mecca for young people, artist and musicians.
