As the United States Post Office seeks way to save money and "weather this storm," today a list of 677 branches were given to congress for review as possible closures. Only 200 are expected to close and a number are listed in the Los Angeles area, but none within the city limits, according to the LA Times.

It seems the internet has finally caught up with the agency's revenue stream. "The House subcommittee that oversees the Postal Service today reviewed the various options as the Postal Service struggles amid sharply declining mail volume and the gradual migration to e-mail and online payment systems," reported the Washington Post.

Of those listed for possible closure include four in Inglewood, two in Torrance, two in San Bernardino, four in Anaheim, four in Long Beach, four in Newport Beach, five in Santa Ana, two in Orange and one in Pomona, San Juan Capistrano, Whittier, Laguna Beach, Irvine, Huntington Beach, Fullerton and Redondo Beach.
