Video: Laker Girl Auditions 2009

Over 500 dancers showed up in El Segundo this weekend to try out for the 2009-2010 Laker Girls squad ... but no more than 22 of these talented young ladies will make the final cut.

LAist couldn't miss this opportunity to bring you interviews and video highlights direct from the scene.

If you noticed your portfolio grow last week thanks to your acquisition of Mystic Tan stock, keep in mind that both the Laker Girls and Clipper Girls have concluded open auditions. Buy low, sell high ...

Video produced by Michelle Phalen, Emily Nerland, and Adam Rose. Music by Dr. Hollywood & Ya Boy -- check out Myspace for more from the guys behind "We Run LA."

Nice work, Adam. Pitch perfect.

there was a guy host in this piece?

It's either this or it's back to porn.

Riveting and relevant. Like American Apparel ads.

Where's the link to "don't like"?

What, you only allow comments of approval?

Riveting.
Where's the "don't like" link?

To the younger single guys:

1. get a room at one of these hotels where they hold the tryouts.
2. hang around the lobby and console the losing girls.
3. ???
4. profit!
