The nominees for the Emmy Awards were announced today
The Emmys were announced this morning, and you can check out the complete list here. "30 Rock" came away with a record-breaking 22 nominations and "Mad Men" garnered the most nominations for a drama, with 16. Despite the Academy tinkering with the process, all the actor nominees are virtually the same as last year other than Jeremy Piven (finally) not making the list. Creative Arts Emmys will be presented on September 12th while the big primetime show will be on September 20th.

More TV is making its way online via a deal between Comcast, Time Warner, CBS, and several other media companies. The difference is that these programs will be migrated online with their full cadre of commercials rather than what viewers currently experience with players like Hulu.

did anyone else not get their screeners this year? i didn't get any...

i'm stoked that tracy morgan got nominated for 30 rock. i don't think he got nominated last year. along with HIMYM getting nominated for best comedy. yay for flight of the conchords, sarah silverman and family guy for their emmy nominations too. :-)

honestly i think this year nominations are WAY better than last year. i'm actually looking forward to the emmy's and i haven't felt like that in a LONG time.

I hear your shoutouts r.r.r., and I'm also pleased that Louis C.K. was also nominated for an Emmy for his special.
